It begins with a dream

Dreams

It all begins with a dream.

Be Bold came to me in a daydream when I was at Ulta one day during lunch break. You can say I was wandering contemplating my next steps. You see, my life came with challenges but I knew that one day I wanted to work and do something that involved women - and young women. Why? Because we believe the lie. Women always believe in cattiness, selfishness, what is on social media, that they need to marry well so they don’t have to work and be kept. They believe the lie that men outearn women and that men have the higher up - but that’s a lie.

The color of my skin never got me a promotion or demotion. My hard work got me the jobs and job titles I’ve held. The other lie - I can do it all and I don’t need anyone. And another lie, I can manifest my dreams into fruition. That’s a lie.

We will go on our knees to ask God to give us the tall handsome man that posts selfies all the time and doesn’t reply to text messages within the hour to be our husband. We get on our knees to ask God for skinnier waists or the job we just so need because it will make us happier.

We forget to get on our knees and thank God for his blood. To thank him for sending his only son to die for our sins. We forget to read our Bible and actually partner with God’s-given dreams.

When I had the dream of Be Bold I wanted to inspire women. BUT then I put together a conference and I stopped. I was living a lie. I couldn’t manifest anything and I knew it. God had given me a dream and I made it a point to steward that dream, water it, read the Bible and hear His wisdom. So here I am today, finally birthing my dream. The labor was long and painful! AND so worth it.

Welcome to my first blog post. I look forward to sharing with you my testimony, including all the heartbreaks and bad decisions, work struggles, body image issues, make-u faves BUT most and foremost, I will introduce you to Jesus Christ. My awesome Father who makes miracles happen. My Be Bold Journal will be out soon and I hope it inspires you to read your Bible and partner with God’s-given dreams for you. Love y’all!
